Farrah Fawcett/Michael Jackson

Farrah Fawcett was one of my first crushes, probably my first. I loved the first season of Charlie's Angels so much that those are still the only ones I still watch. Wasn't the same without Farrah. Oddly enough when she was married to Lee Majors they both were looking at homes in a small nearby town about 4 or 5 miles away from where I live. I remember spending part of that summer hoping to see them. I'm such an ass. Farrah had a ton of credits but one of my favorite shows was the 1991 sitcom she did with Ryan O' Neal called Good Sports. Al Green did the theme song. How cool was that? Love that pic...

There's not much to say, very sad about this. That picture makes me smile though, it's from his 1975 album Forever, Michael. That original Jackson 5 Anthology 3 LP set is one of my favorite things ever. I was playing it a while back and having a lot of fun. Geek alert! Reading some of the Twitter stuff, comments, etc, I'm seeing a lot of celebrities are saying nice things about him. That's oddly comforting...

I watched at least an episode of "Good Sports" before it got the ax. I thought that show would be a sure ratings winner. So much for my Nielsen predicting skills. By the way, we share the same taste in Farrah pics.

It has been pleasing to see the respectful comments by celebs who knew Michael and/or were influenced by him.

Losing two icons in the same day... it's still hard to believe.

That is a nice Farrah pic isn't it, heh heh. I think CBS didn't promote Good Sports or something because it was a good show. Can't find any trace of it online...

I'm still reading the comments. Lisa Marie did an especially nice one, http://blogs.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=blog.view&friendId=42291868&blogId=497035326

They both would have been tough, the same day? Very surreal.

I remember the Off the Wall record. I think I had probably 3 copies after playing the living shit out of them.

Sadly, I had a hard time getting on board with Michael very much after Thriller. But for me, those Thriller (and earlier) years were just unbelievably amazing.

For some reason I didn't get Off the Wall the album until the late 80s. I had all the singles--I can safely say I liked it more than Thriller. Oddly enough out of all of them I probably like Triumph the best.

Totally agree, those earlier years were unbelievably amazing. And the cool thing I can listen to the songs and not feel too bad.
