Tiki Barber: Total Medal Idiot

Man, I was just assembling a list of my recent 8 track acquisitions I got "visiting" some houses up the road when this happened. Everyone knows about my crush on Jenna Wolfe and my hatred for Tiki Barber. Both emotions collided in one of the funniest clips ever. Everyone's talking about this! Did he say what I thought he said? A word even I don't say, here's a clip.

Woops a' daisy. The recap. It's been said NBC's Grammy, I mean, Olympic coverage has been a shambles. I haven't watched a minute but I did see that local moron talking about something close to nothing. Back to this, it's interesting. I see Young Jenna was being "annoying", sophomoric even. It was hilarious though. By the second clip I think Tiki's had his fill and uttered something or other. Notice how it kind of deflated the "party." Brian Williams was there for the clean up duty. The woman in the newsroom was talking about something or other, totally boring. I also noticed how everyone tried to fully enunciate "count", well except for Tiki...

Verdict: Although some folks on message boards have been saying things like "Bye Tiki" I don't think he's getting canned for this. For his incompetence? He should have been gone months ago, in fact I thought he was....

Steve Sanders Hurt My Feelings!

This is a tough one and really wasn't this week enough? From Estelle Getty to this, the circle of life, the circle of putred, shitty life. A lot of fans are anticipating the new edition of Beverly Hills 90210. When one thinks of that show we think of one person, Steve Sanders. He was the mascot, the weather vane, the MVP, the constant as most of the others had the good sense to leave. It seems that since he's gotten a little bit of noterity (the good kind), he's not going to crawl back to a character that did its heavy lifting by 1993. Way to escape Mr. Smarty Pants...

Steve Sanders portrayer Ian Ziering told it like this, "It's not really where my career goals are focused right now," Ziering told People. "I'm really looking down the line pretty far and this might be a step backwards."

He continued, "You know, Steve Sanders lives on in our hearts and in our minds."

He do? That's the first I've heard of this. To me Steve Sanders has been one of the most irritating characters ever. I wanted Ziering to reprise it from either a jail cell, deathrow or on the run. Darnit...

The Save Mr. Rogers Campaign

Sad news for people with a conscience and time to watch good TV. After 4o odd years in syndication, it looks like PBS is dropping Mr. Rogers Neighborhood from it's schedule. This news is sickening, so much in fact, I peed all over myself when I first heard about. But really, it's all about changing times, the Now generation, turning on/tuning out and the fact there's just no new shows. We lost Mr. Rogers a few years back...

As a fan of shows like this and this show in particular, I'm fine with this news. At the present, it's on once everyday and the plan is to show one episode every weekend. That just might be enough, there's always the DVD market, especially for 1979's ill-fated Mr Rogers: Disco Party.

Campaign: There is a campaign underway to save Mr. Rogers, http://savemisterrogers.com/

Part 2: I wish them the best of luck but I don't give a hoot.
